Advanced NDT Services

We offer the following advanced non-destructive testing services

We are the first local company to introduce this technology. MURBAN utilises MFL technology to perform corrosion mapping of tank floors.

Murban employs Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing to inspect more complex geometries that are difficult and much slower to inspect with single probes. PAUT can be used to inspect almost any material where traditional UT methods have been utilized, and is often used for weld inspections and crack detection.

Using our portable X-Ray fluorescent analyzer, we examine a metallic alloy to determine its composition by reading the percentage quantities of its constituent elements. We apply this method to inspect welds and weld overlays, valve and valve components, pipes, fittings, machines parts, castings and forgings.

3D Laser Scanning is a non-contact, non-destructive technology that digitally captures the shape of physical objects using a line of laser light. MURBAN employs this technique for geometric evaluation of tank shells; rafter evalluations; facility as-built mapping; 3D Visualisation; Flaw deviation and analysis amongst other advanced uses.

With the use of our ultrasonic crawler, we are able to provide corrosion mapping on remote, aboveground surfaces. This inspection is ideal for storage tanks, vessels and off-shore installations

Infrared testing refers to an inspection process utilizing thermography or infrared cameras as a means to perform situational non-destructive testing or NDT. Infrared Testing Applications. Infrared testing can be performed in a variety of situations to detect problems before they become much larger issues.

  1. MAGNETIC FLUX LEAKAGE – Tank Bottom inspection
  2. PHASED ARRAY ULTRASONIC TESTING
  3. POSITIVE MATERIAL IDENTIFICATION
  4. 3D LASER SCANNING
  5. MAGNETIC CRAWLER INSPECTION
  6. INFRA RED TESTING
